Status
To date, PGTx has conducted successful exploratory research in multiple animal species. Pathogens include different serovars of Salmonella and strains of E.coli in animals including pigs and mice and Campylobacter in poultry models. Our next steps include confirmatory preclinical trials, preparation of an IND and manufacturing clinical samples.
Efficacy data in production animals including pigs against E. coli (ETEC) and multiple strains of Salmonella with no adverse events attributed to the vaccine.
Efficacy data against non-typhoidal Salmonella and E. coli (ETEC) in mice conducted by the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS), a bilateral U.S. Army-Royal Thai Army medical research institute, under a Walter Reid CRADA in Thailand.
Efficacy data in a double challenge against E. coli (ETEC) followed by Salmonella Typhimurium in mice conducted by National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
Safety data in mice in a trial conducted at the Dunn School of Pathology, Oxford.
Efficacy data against Salmonella at the University of Birmingham, UK.
